Class 10 Student Killed While Trying to Break Up Fight in Karnataka’s Shivamogga

Tragedy struck Karnataka’s Shivamogga district when a 16-year-old Class 10 student was fatally assaulted while trying to stop an argument that escalated into a physical fight outside a government school. The student, who had just finished a special class, intervened to help another boy, but the attackers turned on him, delivering repeated blows that led to his death.

Authorities confirmed that the suspects, all minors from the same locality, were known to the victim and the injured boy. Two suspects are in police custody, while investigations continue to identify others involved based on eyewitness accounts. The local MLA, SN Channabasappa, visited the victim’s family and the injured to offer support. The police have deployed additional personnel to maintain peace in the area.
