India on Friday said it is in discussions with the United States to ensure the continuation of its projects at Iran’s Chabahar Port, which are operating under a time-bound sanctions waiver from Washington set to expire on April 26.
Addressing the issue, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that the US Department of the Treasury had issued a letter on October 28, 2025, outlining guidance on the conditional sanctions waiver, which remains valid until April 26, 2026. He added that India continues to engage with the US side to work out the arrangement.
