A wedding celebration in Odisha’s Ganjam district took a violent turn late Friday night after a dispute during a wedding procession led to a brutal attack, leaving four persons critically injured, including a Panchayat Samiti member.The incident occurred at Kusapur village under the Purusottampur police station limits. According to reports, a wedding procession was passing through the village when a group of youths allegedly began pelting bricks and stones. Local residents objected to the act and warned the youths to stop, which led to an altercation.Police officials said efforts are underway to identify and apprehend all those involved in the incident. Investigators are examining CCTV footage, eyewitness accounts, and the sequence of events that led to the violence.Sources said police are not ruling out any angle at this stage. A possible political motive behind the attack is also being examined, though no such link had been established at the time of filing this report.
