A Tanzanian national was killed in a road accident in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur district on Saturday while travelling with friends for a weekend getaway. The incident occurred on the Dehradun–Yamunagar highway when the motorcycle he was riding reportedly went out of control and rammed into a road divider.

The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Kamaal, a student of a well-known private university in Greater Noida. He was part of a group of friends, all students of Sharda University, who were heading to Uttarakhand for a picnic on separate motorbikes.

According to police, the impact of the collision threw Kamaal onto the road, causing severe injuries. He was rushed to a nearby community health centre, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Saharanpur Superintendent of Police Vyom Bindal said prima facie investigations indicate no foul play in the incident.

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Police said Kamaal’s family and the university authorities have been informed, and necessary legal formalities have been initiated.
