Aryna Sabalenka’s powerful game and growing cultural influence were on full display at the Australian Open on January 23, as the world No. 1 announced a major partnership with Italian luxury brand Gucci. The announcement, made just before her hard-fought third-round win over Anastasia Potapova, confirms Sabalenka as a global brand ambassador for Gucci.

“I don’t know. I’m the happiest person on earth right now. I couldn’t dream a few months ago that I would join the best brand,” Sabalenka said after reaching the fourth round for the sixth consecutive year. Her match against Potapova, won 7-6 (4), 7-6 (7), showcased her resilience on court, while the Gucci deal highlights her growing crossover appeal as an elite athlete and cultural icon.

Sabalenka’s style, confidence, and success both on and off the court position her alongside the most influential figures in sport and luxury fashion. With multiple Grand Slam titles, including back-to-back Australian Open and US Open crowns, and consecutive year-end world No. 1 rankings, her new role with Gucci marks a milestone in her career, blending performance, prestige, and fashion influence.
