A shocking murder case in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar district has led to the arrest of a woman and her lover for allegedly killing her husband. The victim, Bhajanlal, a 32-year-old father of two, was reportedly murdered because he had become an obstacle to their relationship.
According to police, the accused lover, Prabhu Dayal, along with a minor accomplice, intercepted Bhajanlal while he was riding his motorcycle. They allegedly beat him with sticks and strangled him with a rope. When he regained consciousness, they attacked him again with bricks and dumped his body and motorcycle into a canal.
Investigators said Bhajanlal’s wife, Indraa Devi, was in constant contact with her lover during the crime and was part of the conspiracy.
The case was initially treated as a blind murder after the body was recovered nearly 270 kilometres away in Phalodi district. Police used technical surveillance and intelligence to identify and arrest the accused.
Authorities have also detained a minor involved in the crime, and further investigation is ongoing.
