Veteran actor Farida Jalal, known for her long-standing association with the Khan family, shared her views on Aryan Khan’s debut as a director with the Netflix web seriesThe Ba**ds of Bollywood*. The series, which premiered on September 18, 2025, quickly became IMDb’s Most Popular Indian Series of 2025.
Jalal warmly welcomed Aryan into the industry, saying, “Welcome home! Yahin ke toh hai, aur kahan jayenge? (You belong here only, where else would you go?)” She also commented on the series, noting that while it was good, Aryan still has room to improve: “Theek tha, it was okay. He could have done it better, but accha toh tha (but it was good).”
The satirical comedy explores the challenges faced by outsiders in Bollywood, focusing on behind-the-scenes politics and the struggle for survival. The ensemble cast includes Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, Anya Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, and Bobby Deol. The show has been praised for its humor, social commentary, and performances, marking a notable debut for Aryan Khan as a director.
