US President Donald Trump may advocate discipline and stamina, but his diet reportedly changes on the road. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., in a podcast with Katie Miller, said Trump eats healthily at Mar-a-Lago and the White House, but relies on familiar fast food brands like McDonald’s while traveling to avoid getting sick. “People who travel with him think he’s pumping himself full of poison all day long,” Kennedy remarked, adding, “He has the constitution of a deity. I don’t know how he’s alive, but he is.”
Kennedy also praised Trump’s energy, calling him “the most energetic person any of us have met,” and noted that he usually eats well despite fast food detours.
The comments come amid renewed scrutiny of Trump’s health following a Wall Street Journal interview, where he dismissed concerns over age, stamina, and appearance. At 79, Trump would be 82 by the end of a second term, making him the oldest US president in history. He denied dozing off during meetings, citing camera timing, and said he has adjusted his schedule to prioritize important meetings.
Trump revealed he takes 325 mg of aspirin daily to keep his blood “nice and thin,” which sometimes causes bruising covered with makeup. The White House maintains that Trump remains fit for office, with his October 2025 medical checkup at Walter Reed confirming strong cardiovascular, neurological, and physical health.
