A tragic road accident claimed the lives of three motorists in Odisha’s Sambalpur district on Monday. The incident occurred at Pithamaren under Jamankira police station in the Kuchinda area when a container truck collided head-on with a motorcycle carrying three riders.
According to reports, the impact of the collision was extremely severe, resulting in the immediate death of all three motorcycle riders at the scene. Emergency services quickly rushed to the accident site following the incident.
Soon after the collision, the container truck caught fire, creating panic in the area. Fire services personnel were alerted and immediately reached the spot to control the blaze. Firefighters successfully managed to bring the fire under control, preventing it from spreading further.
Authorities stated that the identities of the deceased have not yet been established. Meanwhile, police officials have reached the accident site and started an investigation to determine the exact cause and circumstances that led to the fatal collision.
