In a move aimed at making the application process more aspirant-friendly, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has extended the working hours and capacity of its call centre for Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026 candidates.

According to UPSC, the call centre will operate every day—including weekends and public holidays—until the application deadline. The helpline will run in two shifts from 7 am to 9 pm, allowing aspirants to seek guidance beyond normal office hours. The commission has also doubled the call centre’s capacity to ensure quicker resolution of queries related to applications and examinations.

UPSC Chairman Dr Ajay Kumar said the initiative reflects the commission’s commitment to providing uninterrupted assistance and improving the overall candidate experience. The CSE 2026 notification has already been released, and applications can be submitted online through upsc.gov.in until February 24.

Through the CSE 2026 recruitment drive, UPSC aims to fill 933 vacancies across prestigious services such as the IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and other Group A and Group B posts, including reserved vacancies for candidates with benchmark disabilities.
