Bhubaneswar, Odisha:Raising concerns over women’s safety in the state capital, asexual assault casehas come to light in the Buddhanagar area. A young woman residing in a rented house accused her live-in partner,Bipin Sabat, of sexually assaulting her without her consent.
The survivor approached theLaxmisagar Police Stationand lodged a written complaint detailing the incident. Acting swiftly, the policeregistered a case under relevant sections of law, arrested the accused, and initiated a formal investigation.
As part of the probe, the survivor has been sent for amedical examination, and her statement has been recorded. The accused has been produced before the court in accordance with legal procedures. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident to ensure justice is served.
