The pangolin trafficking investigation in Rajnagar area of Kendrapara district has taken a serious turn, with the role of Police Inspector-in-Charge Bandana Patra coming under scrutiny. Sources indicate that the Forest Department suspects her involvement with the accused, alleging she misbehaved with staff and questioned officials for detaining the traffickers without informing her. The incident reportedly occurred at the Rajnagar Forest Department office on January 21. Following the complaints, Forest Department staff approached the Rajnagar Divisional Forest Officer, who has reported the matter to higher authorities and the Kendrapara Superintendent of Police for necessary action.
