In a major political development, hundreds of workers from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bolagarh Block ofKhordhadistrict on Saturday.As per reports, ward members, a former samiti member, and several grassroots BJD workers formally resigned from their party and joined the BJP during the program held at Rajsunakhala Kalyan Mandap in Badakumari Panchayat under the leadership of State BJP Vice-President Jatin Mohanty.
The newly inducted members stated that they were inspired by the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the policies and ideology of Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, which motivated them to join the BJP.

BJP leaders stated that the mass joining would significantly strengthen the party’s organisation at the grassroots level in the coming days.
