The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to announce the results of the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) December 2025 by February 4. Candidates who appeared for the examination can access their scorecards by visiting the official website,ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
The UGC NET December 2025 examination was conducted in online mode from December 31 to January 7 across multiple centres nationwide. The test was held in two shifts each day and covered more than 80 subjects.
The examination determines eligibility for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission to PhD programmes. Candidates qualifying under Category 2 and Category 3 will be eligible for PhD admissions, with their NET scores remaining valid for one year from the date of result declaration.
The results will be released in percentile format along with raw or normalised marks for subjects conducted in multiple shifts. NTA had earlier published provisional answer keys on January 14 and invited objections till January 17. The final results will be prepared based on the revised answer keys after addressing valid challenges.
For exams conducted in multiple shifts, NTA follows a normalisation process using the equi-percentile method to ensure fairness and uniformity across all candidates.
