The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 faced disruption at two examination centres in Bihar’s Vaishali (Hajipur) district, forcing authorities to cancel Paper 2 at those locations. The affected centres were St John’s Academy, Basmati Nagar, and Lakshya International Academy.
Officials said the question paper reached St John’s Academy much later than scheduled, triggering disorder at the venue. Due to the resulting situation and other unavoidable circumstances, the examination was cancelled at both centres.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) clarified that the examination was conducted smoothly across the rest of the country. Out of 1,803 centres nationwide, Paper 2 was successfully held at 1,801 locations. In an official statement, CBSE assured candidates that a re-examination would be conducted within 15 days, with the revised schedule to be announced soon.
CTET 2026 results are expected in the last week of March or early April. The qualification carries lifetime validity and is mandatory or preferred for recruitment in several central and state-run schools, including Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas and Army Public Schools.
