BJP’s Nitin Nabin Urges 90-Day Grassroots Campaign in Tamil Nadu to Take on DMK

BJP National Working President Nitin Nabin has issued a strong call to party workers in Tamil Nadu to roll out an aggressive, booth-level campaign over the next 90 days, aimed at highlighting what he termed the “corruption, dynastic politics and governance failures” of the ruling DMK government, and laying the groundwork for the formation of an NDA government in the state.

Addressing a large gathering of BJP workers, booth presidents, Shakti Kendra in-charges and senior leaders at a party meeting in the Singanallur Assembly constituency on Sunday, Nabin stressed that the BJP is the only political party in India that provides grassroots workers a clear pathway to the highest positions of leadership.

“The BJP is a party where even a booth president can one day become the national president, and where a Yuva Morcha worker can rise from the mandal level to national leadership. This is possible because we are rooted in organisation, ideology and the principle of Nation First,” he said.

BJP’s Strength Lies in Organisational Unity

Highlighting the party’s organisational framework, Nabin said the BJP’s biggest strength lies in its seamless structure that unites leaders across all levels—from booth and mandal presidents to district, state and national leadership.

“This unity is our greatest asset. From the booth to the nation, our organisation works as one. That is why our leadership repeatedly says: win the booth, and you will win the election,” he said, urging booth presidents to take ownership of strengthening their respective units.

He also underscored the importance of regular grassroots engagement, noting that collective listening of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’sMann Ki Baatat the booth level each month helps reinforce organisational cohesion and ideological clarity.

Sharp Attack on DMK Government

Launching a scathing attack on the DMK government, the BJP leader accused it of being “deeply entrenched in corruption, dynastic politics and divisive identity-based politics.”

“The DMK government has repeatedly insulted Sanatan values, cultural traditions and social harmony, while normalising abusive political language. The people of Tamil Nadu are watching closely and will not forgive those who undermine the dignity and rights of the poor,” he said.

Nabin announced a structured agitation strategy against the ruling party, stating that the BJP would transform the alleged failures of the DMK government into mass movements across Assembly constituencies. As part of the plan, signature campaigns will be organised under every Shakti Kendra on local issues such as poor infrastructure and corruption, followed by dharnas, protests against MLAs and marches highlighting ten key failures of the DMK regime.

“Wherever there are NDA MLAs, the party will stand firmly with them. Where DMK candidates hold power, a sustained struggle will be launched to defeat and remove them,” he asserted.

90-Day Door-to-Door Campaign Directive

Calling the next three months crucial, Nabin instructed mandal presidents and karyakartas to fully dedicate themselves to election preparations.

“For the next 90 days, there is no scope for complacency. Every day, each worker must visit at least ten households to seek support for the BJP and the NDA. This is a shared responsibility,” he said, urging workers to take a pledge of complete commitment to the campaign.

Focus on Rural Development and Welfare

Later in the evening, Nabin participated in the Viksit Bharat G-RAM G programme at Achankulam in Neelambur, where he highlighted village-level development initiatives and beneficiary outreach under the Modi government.

He said the programme, earlier known as the 100-day employment guarantee scheme, has now been extended to 125 days, offering greater financial security to rural families. He added that villages now have greater autonomy to plan development works based on local priorities.

“For the first time, villages themselves decide what development they need. This empowerment reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision,” he said, adding that the revamped framework ensures strict accountability, timely wage payments and penalties for delays, thereby reducing corruption.

Zero Tolerance for Corruption

Reiterating the Centre’s zero-tolerance approach to corruption, Nabin said the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system ensures that welfare funds reach beneficiaries directly.

“In the past, money sent from Delhi was often misused. Today, every rupee reaches the intended beneficiary. This transparency has unsettled those who thrived on corruption, which is why they now resort to agitation politics,” he said, taking an indirect swipe at the DMK leadership.

NDA Unity and Vision for Tamil Nadu

Nabin said continued public support for Prime Minister Modi would enable the rollout of even more development-oriented schemes for Tamil Nadu. He reiterated that all NDA constituent parties would contest elections together in the state.

“Tamil Nadu’s development will progress alongside its rich culture, industrial strength and status as a major education hub,” he said, adding that Panchayati Raj institutions and women’s participation would receive special emphasis.

He also urged women workers to take the lead in awareness campaigns on substance abuse and crimes against women, proposing women-led signature drives against the DMK government.

Temple Visits and Public Outreach

Earlier in the day, Nabin offered prayers at the Perur Pateeswarar Temple and the Marudhamalai Murugan Temple. He later participated in the ‘Namma Ooru Modi – Pongal Function’, interacting with local residents and party workers as part of the BJP’s festive outreach programme.

Tamil Nadu BJP State President Nainar Nagendran, K Annamalai, Arvind Menon and several senior leaders were present at the events.

Concluding his address, Nabin urged party workers to function with discipline, unity and ideological commitment to realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and ensure that Tamil Nadu moves decisively on the path of development under an NDA government.
