Shri Jagannath Temple Hundi Receives Rs 18.59 Crore in One Year, Over Rs 304 Crore Collected Since 2011

The hundi of Shri Jagannath Temple in Puri received Rs 18.59 crore along with gold and silver donations in the last year. Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan said the temple has collected over Rs 304 crore and 58 kg gold since 1981.

The hundi (donation box) of the Shri Jagannath Temple in Puri received approximately Rs 18 crore 59 lakh 23 thousand during the last year, reflecting the deep devotion of millions of devotees visiting the historic shrine.

In addition to cash donations, devotees offered 3 kg 441 grams of mixed gold and around 33 kg 648 grams of mixed silver ornaments. Providing details in the Assembly, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan stated that from 1981 to 2024–25, the temple collected a total of 58 kg 317 grams of gold and 158 kg 836 grams of silver through hundi offerings.

He also informed that between 2011–12 and 2024–25, the temple received Rs 304 crore 57 lakh from hundi collections and donations. These contributions play a vital role in supporting temple rituals, administration, and infrastructure development.
