Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi to Visit Odisha as Congress Steps Up Organisational Push

Senior Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are set to visit Odisha in March as part of the party’s renewed efforts to strengthen its organisational base in the state. The visits will focus on mobilising party workers, particularly women, and strengthening grassroots outreach ahead of upcoming political challenges.

The Congress party is intensifying its organisational activities in Odisha, with senior leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra scheduled to visit the state in March. The announcement was made by Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Bhakta Charan Das on Thursday.

Speaking to the media, Das said Priyanka Gandhi will address a women’s convention during her Odisha visit. The programme is part of a broader initiative to strengthen the party’s women’s wing and engage grassroots workers across the state. As part of this outreach, the Congress plans to organise women’s conventions in at least ten districts.

The OPCC chief further revealed that preparations are underway for a separate visit by Rahul Gandhi. While the dates and venues are yet to be finalised, the visit is expected to play a key role in revitalising the party’s organisational structure in the state.

According to Das, the Congress is working on a comprehensive strategy to address internal challenges and rebuild its grassroots network ahead of upcoming electoral battles. “The party is committed to strengthening its base and reconnecting with the people of Odisha,” he said.

He added that the upcoming visits by senior leaders would boost the morale of party workers and provide momentum to the party’s outreach initiatives. The Congress leadership aims to use these engagements to address public concerns and re-establish its presence across the state through sustained political engagement and organisational reforms.
