Amid ongoing speculation about family tensions, Preston Bailey, the former wedding planner for Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz, has offered a new perspective on the couple’s wedding and family dynamics. In an interview with Page Six, Bailey stated that he never witnessed any discord during the planning process.
“While we were planning, clearly, as far as the details of the design, Brooklyn was very much involved. I have always thought of him as a gentle, decent guy. There was never any tension,” Bailey said. He described Brooklyn as “a nice, regular person who would say hello and chit-chat” and dismissed claims that Nicola was controlling, noting the couple’s affection throughout the planning process.
Bailey also clarified that he worked exclusively with Brooklyn and Nicola, beginning in April 2021, and did not have direct interaction with David or Victoria Beckham.
The Beckham family has not publicly responded to Brooklyn’s claims of feeling manipulated by his parents. However, an insider told PEOPLE that David and Victoria “love Brooklyn and are afraid of losing their son,” but would not reconcile unless Nicola was no longer in the picture. Despite this, Brooklyn and Nicola continue to share affectionate moments on social media, including photos posted on January 27 set to Eric Clapton’s “Wonderful Tonight.”
