A shocking murder incident has been reported from the Civil Township area under Raghunathpali police limits in Rourkela, where a pharmaceutical company manager was allegedly stabbed to death on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Bhagirathi Sahu, a resident of Bhubaneswar. He had arrived in Rourkela on Friday evening. His body was later found lying in a pool of blood at the crime scene, creating panic in the area.
Police have started an investigation and detained one of Sahu’s friends, who was reportedly staying with him, for questioning. Officials are examining all possible angles to determine the motive and identify the accused.
Preliminary suspicion suggests that the murder may be linked to monetary issues, although the exact reason is yet to be confirmed. A forensic team is assisting in the investigation, and the post-mortem examination will be conducted after the victim’s family arrives.
Police said efforts are underway to uncover the truth and bring those responsible to justice.
