The indefinite private bus strike in Paradip, launched in protest against the Chief Minister’s Bus Service, has been temporarily suspended, providing relief to commuters across Jagatsinghpur district. The Private Bus Owners’ Association has decided to put the agitation on hold from today, pending further discussions with the district administration.
Talks Scheduled with District AdministrationParadip Private Bus Owners’ Association chairperson Rashmi Ranjan Parida stated that a crucial meeting is scheduled today at noon, involving the Jagatsinghpur District Collector, state-level office bearers, and representatives of local bus owners’ associations. A final decision on the issue will be taken after the outcome of these talks.
Some Services to Remain SuspendedParida clarified that services under the Chief Minister’s Bus Service, along with routes connecting district and block headquarters, will remain suspended until a conclusive resolution is reached. He explained that discussions with the District Collector assured that all concerned vehicles would stay halted temporarily, with services resuming based on mutually agreed terms.
Normal Operations Resume After a WeekFollowing the decision, private bus services in Jagatsinghpur district, which had been off the roads for the past week, resumed normal operations today.
