Brahmagiri MLA Upasna Mohapatra addressing the media while criticising the BJD leadership

Only ‘Three Monkeys’ Will Be Left in BJD, Says Brahmagiri MLA Upasna Mohapatra.

Brahmagiri MLA Upasna Mohapatra launched a sharp attack on the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), claiming that continuous resignations, suspensions and expulsions will soon leave the party with just “three monkeys,” while the BJP gains strength through political consolidation.

Brahmagiri MLA Upasna Mohapatra on Monday intensified the political heat in Odisha by launching a scathing attack on the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), using the metaphor of Mahatma Gandhi’s “three monkeys” to describe the party’s current state.Referring to a growing list of resignations, suspensions and expulsions within the BJD, Mohapatra alleged that the party is rapidly losing its leadership strength, with several prominent leaders defecting to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). If the current trend continues, she remarked, only “three monkeys” would be left in the BJD — one being the party supremo, one leader from Tamil Nadu, and another from coastal Odisha.
