Odisha Police and security forces have intensified operations in the Maoist-affected Daringbadi region to apprehend the notorious rebel leader Shukru. The operation, ongoing for four days, involves combing dense forests and difficult terrain, signaling a determined push to locate the Maoist leader and his aides.
To strengthen ground efforts, authorities have deployed advanced drones capable of monitoring movements up to 15 kilometres, providing critical aerial surveillance across inaccessible areas. This technology allows security forces to track Shukru and his associates more effectively and enhances coordination on the ground.
The operation is part of one of the region’s most significant anti-Naxal offensives in recent days, with forces maintaining high alert and vigilance amid challenging conditions. With aerial monitoring and ground combing working in tandem, authorities hope to capture Shukru and dismantle his network.
