Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd. (OMC) has been honoured with the prestigious Golden Peacock HR Excellence Award in the Mining & Metallurgy sector at the 20th International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility held in Mumbai.
The award recognises OMC’s structured human resource systems, effective workforce management, and continued investment in employee capability development. The corporation provides employment to over 31,000 people, including direct and indirect jobs, significantly contributing to livelihoods and regional economic growth.
OMC has implemented comprehensive HR initiatives such as structured training programmes, skill development, transparent performance evaluation systems, and digital HR integration to improve efficiency and workforce productivity.
In FY 2024–25, the PSU achieved record production of 40.19 million tonnes, strengthening its position among India’s top state-owned mining companies. The corporation also maintained strict safety standards, employee wellness programmes, and recorded zero fatalities, highlighting its commitment to responsible and safe mining.
