In a shocking incident in Odisha’s Bolangir district, a newly married woman was allegedly abducted by her former lover at gunpoint early Sunday morning. The couple was returning home after their wedding ceremony in Kantamal when the accused intercepted their vehicle midway.
According to sources, the youth threatened the groom with a firearm and forcibly took the bride away, leaving the groom stranded on the road. The incident has created panic and concern among local residents.
Following the incident, the groom approached the Tarbha police station and informed officials about the abduction. Police have begun an investigation, recording statements and examining all possible angles. Authorities said efforts are ongoing to trace the accused and locate the woman, while further details are awaited as the probe continues.
