NEET PG Round 3 Counselling Resumes With New Registrations and Additional Seats

NEET PG Round 3 counselling has resumed after a temporary pause, with the Medical Counselling Committee allowing fresh registrations and adding more seats. The revised schedule brings clarity for medical graduates seeking postgraduate admissions for the 2025 academic year. Round 3 is crucial as it includes newly added seats and vacancies from earlier rounds.

NEET PG Round 3 counselling has officially resumed after being put on hold, providing renewed opportunities for medical graduates aspiring to postgraduate courses for the 2025 academic year. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), operating under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), has reopened the process with provisions for fresh registrations and the inclusion of additional seats.

The counselling process covers 50 per cent All India Quota seats, along with 100 per cent seats of deemed universities, central universities, and Armed Forces Medical Services institutions. MCC had earlier paused Round 3 to review seat availability and align the process with ongoing legal proceedings. With the release of the revised schedule, thousands of candidates awaiting clarity can now proceed with their applications.

According to the tentative timeline, registration and fee payment began on January 30 and will continue until January 31. Choice filling will take place from January 31 to February 2, while choice locking opens on February 1 and closes on the morning of February 2. Seat allotment processing is scheduled for February 2, with results expected on February 3. Candidates allotted seats must report to their respective colleges between February 4 and February 11.

MCC noted that the revised schedule has been prepared keeping in view a Supreme Court matter related to Jamia Hamdard deemed-to-be university. Officials have advised candidates to review the updated seat matrix carefully, exercise choices judiciously, and adhere strictly to reporting deadlines to avoid disqualification.
