An actor has been arrested in Mumbai in connection with allegations of sexual assault spanning nearly ten years. According to police officials,Nadeem Khan, who was recently seen in the filmDhurandhar, was taken into custody onJanuary 22following a complaint filed by a41-year-old woman.
The complainant alleged that she had been working as a domestic help for several actors and came in contact with Khan years ago. Over time, the two became close, during which Khan allegedly promised to marry her. Based on this assurance, the woman claimed she was sexually exploited multiple times at both her residence inMalwaniand Khan’s home inVersova.
The woman further alleged that Khan later refused to marry her, prompting her to approach the police. Since the first alleged incident occurred within the jurisdiction ofMalvani police station, and the complainant resides in the same area, theVersova police transferred the case as a zero FIRfor further investigation.
Police confirmed that Khan is currently in custody and that the investigation is ongoing. Authorities have stated that further legal action will depend on the findings of the probe.
