Missed CTET in Bihar? CBSE Announces Major Update on Re‑Exam Date

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has scheduled a re‑exam for CTET 2026 Paper‑II on March 1, 2026 for candidates affected by cancellations at two centres in Bihar’s Vaishali district. Revised admit cards will soon be issued, and no further opportunities will be offered.

In a key development for teaching aspirants who were unable to appear for theCentral Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper‑II in Bihar, theCentral Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)has officially announced arescheduled examination date. This comes after the Paper‑II exam originally scheduled inFebruary 2026was cancelled attwo examination centres in Vaishali (Hajipur), Bihardue to administrative issues. The re‑exam is now set to take place onMarch 1, 2026 (Sunday)exclusively for candidates who were allotted those affected centres.

Candidates eligible for the re‑exam should regularly check the officialCTET website (ctet.nic.in)to download theirrevised admit cards, which will be made available soon. The exam will be held at thesame centreswhere it was cancelled earlier, and aspirants are advised to strictly adhere to the updated schedule and reporting instructions. CBSE has clarified thatthis will be the only opportunityfor affected candidates to completePaper‑IIfor the21st edition of CTET 2026, and no further changes in date or centre will be entertained.

This update provides relief to aspirants who missed their original test due to unforeseen circumstances, ensuring they get a fair chance to sit for this crucial eligibility test — a prerequisite for teaching positions in central government schools and other institutions that recognise CTET scores.
