Malti Chahar dismisses dating rumours with Amaal Mallik, saying they met only once and shared no romantic relationship during or before Bigg Boss 19.

Malti Chahar, who rose to wider public attention after her stint onBigg Boss19, has finally addressed ongoing rumours linking her romantically with singer-composer Amaal Mallik.

In a detail: ed post on social media, Malti made it clear that there was never any relationship between them, calling the speculation completely baseless.

“There Was No Relationship or ‘Ship’”

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, Malti clarified her equation with Amaal in an unambiguous statement. She wrote that they met only once before entering the reality show and stayed in touch briefly over phone calls after that.

Bigg BAccording to Malti, Amaal had asked for her number, and during their single meeting they spoke and shared some personal information. However, she stressed that this interaction did not translate into any romantic involvement.

She also explained that when she mentioned “bahar ki baat nahi karenge” on the show, she was referring to not revealing his personal details, not hinting at a deeper bond.

Criticism Over Derogatory Remarks

Malti also criticised Amaal for allegedly creating a misleading narrative inside the Bigg Boss house. She said she was disturbed to learn, only after her eviction, that he had made derogatory remarks and suggested she was trying to impress him.

She added that she had been empathetic towards him during the show, especially when he spoke about his mental health struggles.

“I tried to help in the moment so he wouldn’t have more regrets later,” she wrote, adding that she now regrets being drawn into the controversy.

Malti ended her post with a firm request asking people not to associate her name with Amaal any further.

What She Said After Eviction

Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla following her eviction, Malti had already denied being Amaal’s girlfriend. She pointed out that they met only three months before the show began and did not spend enough time together to even consider dating.

She also clarified that her statement about meeting him for longer than five minutes was not meant to hint at a relationship.

Malti said she was unaware that Amaal had been discussing their meeting with other housemates, and only realised this after fellow contestantShehbaz Badeshamentioned it to her.
