Janshakti Janta Dal president Tej Pratap Yadav on Monday strongly denied rumours circulating on social media linking him to a woman identified as Anushka Yadav and claims that he has a child. Addressing a press conference, Yadav termed the allegations “baseless and misleading” and said they were part of a larger conspiracy to tarnish his image.
The former RJD leader alleged that attempts were being made to malign him due to his rising political popularity. He also claimed that former RJD MLA Mukesh Roshan, along with Sanjay Yadav, Shakti Singh and Sunil Singh, were working against him and had even plotted to kill him.
Clarifying his position, Yadav said he had no connection with the woman and warned of legal action against what he described as false reporting and misinformation. He said he had sought security from Bihar Home Minister Samrat Choudhary and would approach Prime Minister Narendra Modi if required.
Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, had earlier shared a social media post declaring a long-term relationship with Anushka, before later claiming that his account was hacked and the content manipulated to defame him and his family. The controversy had led to his expulsion from the RJD and his disownment by his father, triggering a major political fallout in Bihar.
