Ekamra Park Bursts Into Colour as Annual Flower Exhibition Draws Massive Crowds in Bhubaneswar

Ekamra Park in Bhubaneswar has transformed into a vivid celebration of color and fragrance with the launch of its annual flower exhibition, which witnessed an impressive turnout on the opening day. Visitors began arriving early to explore the diverse floral arrangements and themed displays spread across the park.

The exhibition showcases an extensive collection of indigenous and exotic flowers, including lilies, salvias, orchids, chrysanthemums, dahlias, gerberas, marigolds, and roses. The park has become a seasonal hotspot, with enthusiasts taking photos amid stunning floral installations. Visitors can also purchase saplings and flowering plants from dedicated stalls.

The event, inaugurated by Odisha Forest and Environment Minister Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia, will remain open until January 11 from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM. Speaking at the event, the minister noted that flowers symbolize love, affection, and human emotion, and highlighted the exhibition's role in showcasing the beauty of nature.

Adding to its charm, the exhibition features cultural and recreational attractions such as fountain displays, soothing music, and themed floral installations depicting concepts like Operation Sindoor, Puri Jagannath Temple, Green City Bhubaneswar, and Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.

Organized jointly by the Regional Plant Resource Centre and the Plant Lovers’ Association, this year marks the 37th edition of the exhibition. It includes 50 garden stalls, 40 nurseries, and numerous theme-based showcases. According to association president Khirod Panigrahi, the event displays orchids, succulents, bonsai, roses, dahlias, and more—creating a refreshing and visually stunning experience for visitors.
