Industry chatter might be buzzing about Salman Khan’s negotiations for a large-scale entertainer with Vamsi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju, but the producer has already put another exciting project into motion. His banner is shaping a film headlined byAkshay Kumar, and the team has issued an official communication to set the record straight amid swirling rumours.
The statement confirmed that Akshay is onboard for their next venture and urged everyone to stop spreading inaccurate claims about the nature of the project, particularly suggestions that it is a remake of a South Indian hit.
Dil Raju’s team firmly addressed the misinformation circulating around their upcoming ventures and emphasised that outdated chatter is being irresponsibly linked to fresh developments.
The official note asserted, “In light of recent rumours and ongoing speculation surrounding the upcoming projects of Producer Dil Raju and Sri Venkateswara Creations, we wish to clarify that these reports are entirely baseless and have been blown out of proportion. Several outdated speculations are being linked to current developments, which is inaccurate."
They further revealed the core team behind the new film: “We are presently developing a project with Akshay Kumar that will be directed by Anees Bazmee. The film is currently in the pre-production stage, and we will share official details in due course."
The team also appealed to journalists and portals to practice restraint, noting, “We humbly request members of the media to refrain from drawing conclusions or circulating speculative information without confirmation from our end."
Speculations online had suggested that the Akshay-Dil Raju-Anees Bazmee collaboration was a Hindi adaptation of Sankranthiki Vasthunam, starring Venkatesh Daggubati. The Telugu film follows an ex-IPS officer YD Raju as he investigates an influential kidnapping conspiracy.
However, sources have clarified that this belief is incorrect, and the upcoming film bears no connection to the original story. The chatter appears to be based on confusion rather than insider insight.
Akshay Kumarremains one of Bollywood’s busiest names, with an expanding roster of releases and shoots. His upcoming slate includes Bhoot Bangla, Haiwaan, Bhagam Bhaag 2, Welcome To The Jungle, and Hera Pheri 3, along with additional projects still in secrecy.
He was last seen in Jolly LLB 3 alongside Arshad Warsi, and after wrapping Bhoot Bangla, he is currently finishing the concluding schedule of Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan.
