Cattle Mafia Suspect Sujit Mohanty’s Balasore Assets Under Police Scrutiny
Fresh details have emerged regarding the alleged activities of cattle mafia leader Sujit Mohanty, a resident of Jharpokharia in Mayurbhanj district, highlighting his links and properties in Balasore district.
Sources indicate that Sujit is suspected of owning assets in Balasore, which are now under police investigation. As part of the ongoing crackdown, Keonjhar police conducted raids in the Padhuapada area in connection with the case.
Earlier, authorities carried out an extensive search at the residence of Sujit’s relative and brother, Tapan Mohanty. During the raid, police inspected a three-storey building and verified details of a high-end BMW car on the premises. Officials are probing the source of funds for these assets, suspecting links to illegal activities.
Police have indicated that further raids and investigations may follow as more information comes to light, as part of the wider probe into Sujit Mohanty’s alleged illegal financial dealings and cattle smuggling network.
