The release ofBorder 2has sparked an overwhelming response from moviegoers, leading several theatre chains nationwide to extend their screening schedules beyond midnight. Coinciding with the Republic Day holiday, cinemas are reportedly running shows as late as 3 am to manage the surge in footfall.
According to trade reports, multiplex chains such as MovieMax have added multiple late-night slots, while major theatres in Mumbai, including PVR Sangam in Andheri East, have introduced screenings after 1:30 am. Some locations have even scheduled early-morning shows starting at 7 am to meet demand.
The strong audience turnout has translated into impressive box office numbers. Trade website Sacnilk reported thatBorder 2earned over ₹30 crore nett on its opening day and is expected to cross the ₹100 crore mark by the end of its third day.
