Biju Janata Dal leaders reunited for a ‘Friends Meet’ in Bhadrak district on Sunday, with several former ministers and MLAs attending the event at Kantipur Jhaunban in Kumar Panchayat, Basudevpur Assembly constituency.

The meeting was chaired by former Basudevpur MLA Bishnubrata Routray and saw participation from senior party leaders across the state, making the gathering politically notable.

Former MLAs present included Swaroop Das (Balasore), Sambit Routray (Paradip), Sukanta Nayak (Nilgiri), Rudrapratap Maharathy (Pipili), Jyotiprakash Panigrahi (Simulia), and Anshuman Mohanty (Rajnagar), along with former minister Chandrasarathi Behera and ex-MLAs Pranab Balabantaray and Raju Das.

The meet focused on strengthening bonds among senior leaders and maintaining party camaraderie. This follows earlier gatherings, including a New Year’s Eve event near Sikharchandi, reflecting ongoing efforts to strategize for a stronger political presence in Odisha.
