Actor Ayesha Khan has spoken candidly about the disturbing misuse of artificial intelligence, revealing that morphed images and videos featuring her have been circulating online. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the actor expressed deep concern over how easily AI-generated content is being created and normalised on social media, calling the trend frightening and emotionally unsettling.
Sharing a personal experience, Ayesha recalled how her mother once came across an AI-generated video that falsely depicted her in an intimate moment with a fellow actor. The actor said she was forced to explain that the incident had never actually happened, highlighting how convincing and realistic such manipulated visuals have become. According to Ayesha, it is particularly worrying that many people are unable to distinguish between genuine images and AI-created fabrications.
The actor further revealed that she has encountered multiple altered pictures of herself online, many of which appear authentic at first glance. She described the situation as “sad” and alarming, noting that the misuse of AI technology has crossed ethical boundaries and raised serious questions about digital safety, consent, and privacy.
Addressing the broader issue of public intrusion, Ayesha also spoke about paparazzi culture and the viral nature of online clips. She stressed that consent is often overlooked, with private or uncomfortable moments being captured and shared without permission. However, she was careful to clarify that not all photographers behave irresponsibly. According to the actor, many paparazzi members respect her boundaries and willingly take down pictures when requested.
On the professional front, Ayesha Khan recently grabbed attention for her appearance in the viral dance number Shararat from the blockbuster film Dhurandhar. Featuring alongside Krystle D’Souza, the song is set against a lavish wedding backdrop and has been widely appreciated for its choreography and energy. Dhurandhar, starring Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt, went on to become India’s highest-grossing film of 2025, with a sequel slated for release in March.
