An 18-year-old teenager attempted suicide while live-streaming the act on Instagram in Maharashtra’s Akola district, prompting swift intervention by police and cyber authorities. The incident occurred on January 21, when Dahihanda Police received alerts from the Akola Control Room and the Mumbai Cyber Cell after the video went viral on social media.
The teenager, identified as Krishna Raghu Palvi from Madhya Pradesh’s Burhanpur district, was located unconscious inside a hut in Donwada village within minutes of the alert. He was rushed to a hospital, where his condition is reported to be stable. His family thanked the police and cyber teams for their timely response. In a separate incident, a man in Karnataka’s Mangaluru also attempted suicide following a domestic dispute. Authorities are continuing investigations in both cases.
