Air India is facing a lawsuit in the London High Court filed by 11 claimants, including relatives and estates of some victims of the June 2025 Ahmedabad plane crash that killed 260 people.
The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, carrying 242 passengers to London’s Gatwick Airport, crashed shortly after takeoff, exploding on impact at a medical college hostel, with one survivor on board and 19 fatalities on the ground.
Separately, families of four passengers have filed a lawsuit in the U.S. against Boeing and Honeywell, alleging the crash was caused by faulty fuel switches.
Air India and the claimants’ lawyers have not yet commented on the London case.
