When Priyanka Chopra admitted feeling guilty leaving daughter Malti at home

Priyanka shared that she often tries to ease the guilt by bringing Malti to her film sets whenever possible. Drawing from her own childhood, she recalled how her parents introduced her early to their professional lives, which helped her understand why they were sometimes away.

“I still feel guilty when I go to set. So, I have her come to me,” she said, adding that she spent time in hospitals where her mother worked and visited her father’s office as a child—experiences that shaped her understanding of work and family balance.

The actor also highlighted the crucial role played by her mother, Madhu Chopra, who looks after Malti when Priyanka is away. She described it as a comforting full-circle moment, noting how her grandmother once cared for her while her own mother worked.

On the work front, Priyanka will next be seen in The Bluff, a period drama set in the late 1800s. The film is backed by AGBO Studios and Amazon MGM Studios and features an international ensemble cast.

By opening up about guilt, privilege and support systems, Priyanka once again spotlighted the emotional realities behind balancing global stardom with motherhood.
