Actor Govinda recently captured attention with his energetic presence at two separate school annual day events held in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday. Though he has been away from mainstream cinema in recent years, the veteran actor proved his enduring popularity by dancing, singing, and engaging warmly with students, parents, and staff, with videos from both events quickly going viral on social media.

During the daytime event at Sangamm International School, Govinda appeared in a black-and-white outfit and took the stage after repeated requests from the audience. He treated attendees to an impromptu dance performance on his iconic songMain Toh Raste Se Jaa Raha Thaand sangAngna Mein Baba, both favourites from his film career. He also delivered some of his famous dialogues, drawing loud cheers and applause from the crowd. The atmosphere was marked by excitement as students and teachers expressed their delight at seeing the actor perform live.

Later in the evening, Govinda attended another annual function at a different school in Pratapgarh, this time dressed in a white suit. Once again, he entertained the audience with song-and-dance performances and participated in a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony to inaugurate the event. His back-to-back appearances highlighted his ability to connect effortlessly with audiences across generations.

While his public performances were widely appreciated, Govinda has also been in the news recently due to speculation surrounding his personal life. Reports suggesting marital discord and alleged infidelity have circulated in recent weeks, prompting reactions from the actor and his family.

Addressing these rumours in a conversation with ANI, Govinda spoke candidly about the impact of such speculation. He said that public scrutiny affects not just him but his entire family. Reflecting on his professional journey, he added that he has been away from films for several years, not due to a lack of opportunities alone, but also because he has chosen to turn down several projects himself.

Govinda further spoke about the pressures that come with fame, noting that wealth and recognition often attract unnecessary controversies. Emphasising his personal values, he described himself as a simple man who draws strength from his upbringing and spiritual beliefs. He also expressed his hope for the well-being of his children amid ongoing public discussions.

Govinda has been married to Ssunita since 1987. The couple has two children—daughter Tina, who made her Bollywood debut in 2015, and son Yashvardhan, who is preparing for his acting debut. Despite being away from films, Govinda’s recent appearances reaffirm his lasting connection with audiences and his continued relevance in public life.
