Varun Dhawan grieves the loss of his pet dog in emotional post: RIP Angel

Varun Dhawan grieved the death of his pet dog Angel in an emotional post. He shared throwback pictures with Angel, also featuring his wife, Natasha Dalal.

Actor Varun Dhawan shared an emotional post dedicated to his late pet dog Angel. Grieving the loss, he shared a collage video featuring Angel with him and wife Natasha Dalal.

Varun's Instagram post read, "Rip angel. Today heaven gained another angel. Thank u for being a wonderful pup and an amazing sister to Joey. We will miss u. See u down the road (sic)." The post included throwback videos and pictures of Angel with Varun and Natasha.

While reacting to the post, actor Mouni Roy wrote, "Im so terribly sorry...(sic)." Director Zoya Akhtar commented, "I am so sorry (broken heart emoji) RIP baby (sic)." Varun's Dishoom co-star Jacqueline Fernandez commented with a crying emoji. Actor Aditi Rao Hydari's captioned her comment with heart and crying emojis. Actor Mrunal Thakur wrote, "What (sic)?"

A fan commented, "May her soul rest in peace she will be missed (sic)." Another fan captioned, "Angel was so close to you (crying emojis (sic)."

On the professional front, Varun will next be seen in director Anurag Singh's Border 2. The actor portrays the role of Param Vir Chakra awardee Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya in the film inspired by the events of India-Pakistan war of 1971. His forst look in the film,earned him praise from gallantry award recipient's son, Colonel Sushil Kumar Dahiya.

In his appreciation, Colonel Dahiya said, "We just watched the Border 2 teaser and definitely Varun Dhawan has done justice. The teaser looks very promising, and it’s truly special for me and my family to see our legacy being told with such spirit and sincerity. Super excited to see the film. Wishing you and the entire team all the very best for the film." Border 2 is backed by -Series and JP Films, is set for a theatrical release on January 23, 2026.

Varun was last seen in aspecial appearance in director Aditya Sarpotdar's Thamma, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rasmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Paresh Rawal and others in key roles.
