In a shocking incident ahead of Valentine’s Day, a 24-year-old MBA student was found dead inside a rented house in Indore, sending shockwaves across the city. The young woman had been missing for two days before her body was recovered on Friday.
According to police, the victim had left her home on February 11, informing her family that she was attending a birthday party. When she did not return, her family lodged a missing person’s complaint at Pandharinath police station.
The case took a grim turn when residents of the Dwarkapuri area alerted authorities about a foul smell coming from a locked house. Upon breaking open the door, police discovered the woman’s body inside the premises. Deputy Commissioner of Police Shri Krishna Lalchandani stated that the victim appeared to have died two days earlier, possibly due to strangulation. The exact cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem examination.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim’s male classmate, believed to be her boyfriend, is the prime suspect. He is currently absconding. Police suspect the murder may have been triggered by a dispute in their romantic relationship.
The victim’s father has alleged that the accused had been pressuring his daughter for money and threatening to leak her private photographs. He further claimed that objectionable images were allegedly circulated in her college WhatsApp group, escalating tensions.
