As the US-Israel-Iran conflict enters its fifth day, United States Central Command chief Brad Cooper confirmed that American and Israeli forces are advancing faster than expected, conducting 24/7 strikes across Iranian territory from sea, air, space and cyberspace. Over 50,000 US troops, 200+ aircraft and two aircraft carriers have been deployed, with additional military assets en route.

The strikes have reportedly destroyed hundreds of ballistic missiles, drones, launchers and 17 Iranian naval vessels, severely weakening Tehran’s operational capabilities. Iran, however, has launched more than 500 ballistic missiles and 2,000 drones in retaliation. Meanwhile, Israel widened its offensive, targeting missile sites, air-defence systems, and command centres, including in eastern Tehran.

The conflict has claimed 787 lives so far, forced widespread flight cancellations and prompted global evacuations. Tehran has named Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Supreme Leader, signaling a potential long-term escalation in the Middle East confrontation.
