Classes at Pulakeswari Nodal High School in Odisha’s Puri district were disrupted on Monday after students and parents locked the school premises in protest against the transfer of the headmaster and alleged irregularities in the mid-day meal (MDM) scheme.Students participating in the protest said their aim was not to disrupt classes permanently but to ensure that their concerns were heard and addressed by the authorities. Parents echoed similar sentiments, expressing concern over the quality of education and student welfare.Sadar police reached the spot and intervened to prevent any escalation of the situation. Police officials held discussions with the protesters and ensured that law and order was maintained on the school premises.
