ActorGovinda’s wife, Ssunita Ahuja, has sparked media attention with candid remarks about her husband’s alleged extramarital affairs. Speaking in a recent interview with Miss Malini, Ssunita addressed the challenges faced by married actors in the film industry, citing the influence of aspiring actresses who pursue fame and, at times, attempt to entangle established stars in personal relationships. She stated,“Ye tumhari umar nahi hai… aajkal ki jo ladki aati hain struggle karne ke liye, they need a sugar daddy… phir kya karte hain phasa lenge, blackmail karenge.”
Ssunita also criticised Govinda for engaging in such affairs at 63, highlighting that he has a “nice family, a beautiful wife and two grown children” and that such actions are inappropriate at his age. While she acknowledged that mistakes happen in youth, she stressed that continued indiscretions later in life harm families.
Govinda has strongly denied all allegations. Speaking to ANI, he suggested that misinterpretations and conspiracies may be at play, saying,“What I've been observing lately is that sometimes when we don't speak, we either appear weak… she [Ssunita] can never think that she herself has been unknowingly placed in a big conspiracy.”
The couple married in 1987 and have maintained a relatively private personal life, with their daughter Tina born in 1989. Despite repeated rumours about marital tensions and alleged affairs, Ssunita has consistently dismissed any talk of divorce. Her latest statements have reignited discussions on the pressures and temptations faced by actors in the entertainment industry and the dynamics between established stars and newcomers.
