Odisha is witnessing a noticeable shift in weather as spring sets in, bringing warmer days and easing winter chills. Early mornings still see patches of fog at several locations, but daytime temperatures are steadily rising, signalling the onset of warmer spring conditions.
Currently, no active weather system is present over the state, and the Meteorological Centre predicts largely dry weather for the coming week. Temperature fluctuations are expected to be minimal, with no cold-related warnings issued. Light to moderate fog may continue at some locations until January 26.
On Wednesday, 19 cities in Odisha recorded daytime temperatures above 30°C, with Bhubaneswar at 32.3°C leading the list, followed by Jharsuguda and Paradip. Meteorologists anticipate that temperatures could rise by an additional 3–4 degrees in the coming days.
Residents are advised to take precautions against the increasing daytime heat while enjoying mild, foggy mornings. The combination of bright sunshine and intermittent fog is expected to define Odisha’s weather pattern for the next week.
