Salim Khan’s Health Improving After Medical Procedure, Confirms Aamir Khan

Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, father of Salman Khan, is showing steady health improvement after being hospitalised with a minor brain haemorrhage earlier this month. Actor Aamir Khan has shared a reassuring update from the ICU, saying doctors and family are optimistic about his recovery.

Legendary Bollywood screenwriter Salim Khan, 90, is on the road to recovery after being admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on February 17 following a minor brain haemorrhage that required close medical supervision in the intensive care unit (ICU). According to attending doctors, the haemorrhage was minimal and did not require major surgery — only a routine diagnostic procedure — and Salim remains under vigilant care as he gradually improves day by day.

Veteran actor Aamir Khan, who recently visited Salim in hospital, shared a positive health update with the media. Aamir explained that he could not meet the screenwriter directly because Salim is still in ICU, but he spent time with the family and received encouraging news from Salim’s daughter Alvira Agnihotri that her father’s condition continues to improve. Aamir added that everyone is praying for Salim’s full recovery and hoping he can soon return home once stable.

Doctors have confirmed that Salim’s condition is stable and that his health is gradually strengthening under careful monitoring. Bollywood colleagues and well‑wishers — including Javed Akhtar, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, Rahul Roy and others — have also visited the hospital to offer support, reflecting the deep respect the industry holds for the veteran writer. The Khan family has emphasised privacy around his treatment, focusing on supportive care and recovery rather than public updates.
