Rani Mukerji’s action drama Mardaani 3 has recorded a strong box office performance, crossing ₹30 crore in India nett collections within nine days of release. Despite stiff competition from Border 2, the film has maintained steady footfalls and is now close to matching the lifetime earnings of the original Mardaani.

Mardaani 3, marking Rani Mukerji’s return to the big screen, has delivered impressive box office numbers by crossing ₹30 crore in India nett collections within nine days of its release. As per Sacnilk, the film earned ₹2.75 crore on its ninth day, taking its total to ₹30.90 crore, putting it close to the lifetime collection of the 2014 original Mardaani, which stood at ₹35.65 crore.

Despite facing tough competition from the war drama Border 2, the film has managed to hold its ground at the ticket windows. It wrapped up its first week with ₹26.3 crore nett and showed steady momentum in its second week, earning ₹1.85 crore on Friday and jumping to ₹2.75 crore on Saturday.

Mardaani 2 remains the highest-grossing film in the franchise with ₹47.35 crore, while Talaash continues to be Rani Mukerji’s biggest box office hit at ₹93.61 crore. With its current run, Mardaani 3 has emerged as the actress’s second-highest earning solo film.

The third installment continues the story of fearless police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy in what has been described as the darkest and most brutal chapter of the franchise. The film now heads into a competitive Valentine’s Day weekend, with releases like Shahid Kapoor’s O Romeo and the Hollywood adaptation of Wuthering Heights expected to test its box office momentum.
