Bhubaneswar: Jagamara New Road in the Odisha capital turned into a lively public space on Sunday as Patha Utsav was celebrated with great enthusiasm, drawing large crowds and vibrant participation.

The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) organised the second edition of Patha Utsav this year, which saw residents from various parts of the city coming together to celebrate art, culture, and community life.

Despite the chilly morning, the atmosphere was filled with energy as colourful dance and music performances captivated visitors. Odissi and contemporary dance presentations received warm applause, while a separate stage saw youngsters enjoying DJ music. The entire stretch of Jagamara New Road was decorated with eye-catching rangoli designs, adding charm to the festive setting.

Apart from cultural performances, participants took part in yoga sessions, skating, games, street plays, and traditional dance programmes. The road remained bustling throughout the morning with a wide range of recreational and cultural activities, offering a perfect mix of fitness, creativity, and entertainment.

Families, children, and youths participated together, turning the event into a platform for social bonding. Many residents appreciated the initiative, noting that it not only encouraged healthy living but also provided local artists with an opportunity to showcase their talent.

Organised by the BMC, Patha Utsav aims to promote public engagement, cultural expression, and social harmony. The successful event at Jagamara New Road once again highlighted how city streets can be transformed into vibrant community spaces filled with joy, creativity, and togetherness.
