Financial assistance exceeding ₹315 crore under the Subhadra Yojana will be credited to the bank accounts of more than 4.57 lakh women beneficiaries across Odisha on Thursday. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will formally disburse the funds at a state-level programme scheduled at 11 am at the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) campus in Bhubaneswar.
The welfare scheme provides direct financial support to eligible women through direct benefit transfer, ensuring transparency and timely delivery of assistance. The latest disbursal phase aims to expand coverage by including both newly enrolled beneficiaries and those previously excluded.
As part of the programme, 1,78,398 newly registered women beneficiaries will receive the first instalment of Subhadra assistance, marking their formal inclusion under the scheme. Additionally, beneficiaries who had missed the first and second instalments earlier will also receive their pending payments.
Official sources said that 2,55,265 women who were excluded from earlier disbursals will be covered in this phase, reinforcing the state government’s commitment to inclusive welfare delivery and women’s financial empowerment.
